iPhone 3G is it Worth the Upgrade?

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Well, it’s here. The new iPhone. It seems Mr. Jobs and the folks at Apple have done it again. They’ve got many whipped up in a frenzy for this new device which is tagged as “Twice as Fast. Half the Price.” Clever marketing, and based on the video I watched from their World Wide Developers Conference a few weeks back, it certainly seems impressive, and I do think the upgrade is warranted on it’s own, beyond that third parties are making it even more compelling. 4th of July is About Connecting

Some of you reading this have sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, grandson’s, granddaughters, cousins, and friends who are currently on a tour of duty, that we might have the privilege to celebrate in safety.

It is in this humbling reality, all I can do is whisper a humble ‘thanks’.

This weekend is 4th of July weekend (Independence Day) here in the USA, and it is certainly a time for cookouts, and family gathering. The real reason that we are getting together is for the thousands who have gone before us, giving their lives so that we wouldn’t have to. All culminating in a single event where the USA declared it’s independence.

The 4th of July is about connecting. Connecting with loved ones still present, and honoring those not.

We may connect differently than they did in previous generations…but we are still connecting. The Internet has expanded that capability, in fact, you and I are connecting right now as you read this post.National Archives Washington DC

While in DC a couple months ago, we were all struck with the enormity of this declaration. It was one of the first sights we saw while there (National Archives).

There are my two boys, and a photo of the actual document (taken with permission, of course…no flash).

In all they learned (me and mom too) about the history of our country, (we are a homeschooling family) and the people who were involved in its establishment prior to going to DC, there was a connection when we saw the actual documents. And it is an experience we will remember for some time.

In business we use various tools to increase our ability to connect with those we serve. The ACT! Database Software can help with that connection. If used properly, you can have a central location for information pertaining to a given contact, market segment, or company.

Swiftpage EmailSwiftpage email has taken that to another level with their Email integration with ACT!. Now, as a featured vendor at www.ACTasap.net, they are even offering a deal for customers who purchase the ACT! Database Software giving away their service for 90 days (and I think they aren’t even asking for a credit card).

If you are already running the latest version of ACT!, or even a previous version, and not using their service, you might want to give Swiftpage Email a look.

I wish you a great weekend, and a great time of connecting with family and friends. If you are in the US, enjoy your Independence Day weekend, I intend to. Be safe.

Internet Search Acceleration Webinar

Attention Sales and Marketing Professionals (ACT! and non ACT! software users alike)
Date: Thursday June 26, 2008
Time: 3pm EST, 12pm PST
What: Internet Search Acceleration Webinar
Register Here

Are you someone who knows the value search engines can provide your business, but find using them laborious and time consuming? What if you could automate most of your Internet research so you could sell more?

Recently, I visited with a friend who shared with me some amazing Internet research software. I don’t get super-impressed with software (afterall it is just a tool), but for folks spending time doing market research online, this high-end software is worth a look. (register for webinar here)

I was hoping to put a video up here to show you the software in action, but I’d rather have Mike show you personally, so I’ve made special arrangement with Mike’s office to host a webinar with you in mind.

This world-class suite of products allows companies to reduce Internet research from hours to minutes, putting them in touch with qualified prospects in a fraction of the time. In this 1 hour webinar you’ll learn how you can arm yourself with tools your competitors haven’t seen.
-Stop cutting/pasting contact information into your database
-Find your niche, no matter how specific
-Work with existing lists and directories
-Build a contact list in moments
…and that is just the beginning.

Mike showed me how he extracted hundreds of contacts from a
series of websites for export to a contact database of choice
in less than 2 minutes. (register for webinar here)

The software automates the “grind” functions of Internet research, such as:
-Trolling through company/directory/portal websites to find names, phone numbers, email addresses and such.
-Using search engines to find disparate information on contacts and companies
-Clicking/copying/pasting or retyping pertinent information from the web, into a usable format. (excel, outlook, ACT!, crm, ats.)

If what I’ve described resonates with you, please carve out an hour to learn
more on this webinarThursday June 26, 2008 at 3pm EST, 12pm PST

-Travis
PS: I’ve arranged for a free gift
from Mike for those attending
this webinar. Register here.
